EP REVIEW: Morganway's 'The Hurricane'

Morganway are a five-piece alternative-country band from Norwich, England. The group was formed by twins Callum (acoustic guitar, lead vocals) and Kieran Morgan (lead guitar) and also features Yve Mary B (lead vocals), Matt Brocklehurst (keyboard) and Simon Tinmouth (drums).

Morganway’s distinctive Americana style is raw, and sincere, and it is also full of energy that sets them apart from the other country acts coming out of the UK at the moment.

Next month will see the British band release their second EP ‘The Hurricane’, which features four brand new original songs from the group.

‘The Hurricane’ shows growth and emotional maturity from their first release ‘No Tomorrows‘, and also features their latest single ‘My Love Ain’t Gonna Save You‘ which happens to be one of the best tracks on the EP.

Although the standout song on the whole record is the bouncy ‘London Life’. It has great in-depth lyrics that tell an emotional story  about a couple, but it has a great pop infused guitar riff and it is the best song on the EP.

‘Devil’s Canyon’, and ‘Hurricane’ show another side to Morganway and showcases the growth they have for future releases proving they have a very bright future ahead of them.

RATING 3.5/5.

‘The Hurricane’ is due for release on April 7th. Make sure you don’t miss any news by following them on Twitter @MorganwayUK.
