KYOSi Releases New Single, "All I've Had"
New York-based EDM artist/producer, KYOSi announces her single, “All I’ve Had,” from her impassioned new EP, “Negative Space,” out June 21st.
“All I’ve Had” is a powerfully defiant anthem for the underprivileged and voiceless…it dances under the rifts of KYOSi’s ethereal vocals, gracious and composed in its rage, according to EARMILK.
KYOSi studied voice at the Eastman School of Music, Ithaca College. In 2008, she began producing music and managed a non-profit music studio for inner-city youth. She moved to New York in 2011 to grow as an artist and expand her music knowledge.
About the song, KYOSi said that it “came out when I was angry. Angry that children were in cages, angry that humans trying to escape death were greeted with hostility, angry that when I went to a club in 2019 I was told to ‘smile’. The anger turned into questions and that’s where this lyric starts: What does it mean to be free when someone else isn’t?”
Her EP will feature three tracks, including the title track and “All I’ve Had.” It is a blend of pop, folk, and jazz.
