Who Is Tara Lynn Wilson? 

Tara Lynn Wilson was born on 18 August 1979, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Little is known about her parents, other than the fact that her mother is African-American and her father hails from the Philippines. 

At some point, presumably, when she was in her late teens, Tara decided to move to the United States to pursue her dreams of becoming an actress. She attended New York City’s American Academy of Dramatic Arts, the same academy that educated stars including Robert Redford, Danny DeVito, Paul Rudd, Adam Scott, Anne Hathaway, Adrien Brody, and more. 

According to US Magazine, Tara was crowned ‘Miss West Virginia’ in 2000. The next year, in 2001, Tara’s acting career finally began and she made her debut as ‘Tito’s girlfriend’ in a biographical drama called ‘Piñero.’ After that, she appeared in an episode of ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent.’  

While the beauty queen was pursuing a career in acting, she was also working behind the bar at an establishment called ‘The Cutting Room.’ 

How Did Tara Lynn Wilson Meet Chris Noth?

‘The Cutting Room’ was a New York City bar and music lounge co-owned by American actor Chris Noth, who is best known for portraying Mr. Big in ‘Sex And The City’ television show and film franchise. It was here that Chris met Tara, who was his employee. When they met, he was 48 years old and she was 20 years old. 

Despite their 27-year age gap, and the possible power dynamic complexity between boss and employee, Tara and Chris began dating soon after meeting. 

Over the years, the couple’s relationship progressed and they worked together in various capacities. In 2009, they teamed up to act in ‘Frame of Mind’ together and opened up a tearoom in Ontario called ‘Once Upon a Teacup’ and later opened up a branch by the same name in London. 

On 6 April 2012, Tara and Chris became husband and wife. The pair married in Maui, Hawaii, in a private intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends. Chris famously likes to keep to himself, and his wife Tara is the same – the couple values their privacy above all else.
