Gilford’s acting career started in 2005, when he made a guest appearance in the television series “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”. Despite having a slow growth in his career, he finally hit it big time when he was included in the show “Friday Night Lights”, playing the character of Matt Saracen. He was a series regular from 2006 to 2011, and played a recurring role when he show entered its fourth season up until the finale. Meantime Gilford also worked in various movies, including “The Last Winter” in 2016, “Post Grad” with Alexis Bledel, and “Dare” opposite Emmy Rossum.
